SCRAPS (Spokane County Regional Protection Service) Looking at my very spoiled (and deservingly so) 2 dogs Hank (the cow dog) and Emma (my 11yr. old Bloodhound), my Rescue cat Leo the Gorgeous and Harry the Stray I realized that not every animal is so lucky! So one day remembering back on the reason I chose Leo amongst hundreds of Photos on www.Petfinder.com it came to me....it was the Photo! Not behind bars or looking like near death this kitten looked happy and eager, almost destined to be MY CAT. I wanted to see more images like that and quickly realized that I needed to take matters into my own hands....so I started to research pet photography for sheltered /fostered animal and stumbled across one amazing Lady who set the trend for us...Teresa Berg, a Dallas photographer who launched www.focusonrescue.com Her mission "To give shelter dogs & cats a better face" quickly became mine. I volunteer my photographic skills to do just that at the Animal Shelter Scraps. Please check my site often as I will update it with an adoptable pet :) This weeks photo is of Sophie who lost one eye and is becoming blind in the other. She was adopted the day after the photos where posted...I could not be more excited strengthening my belief in the power of a Picture!
I love, love, love what these 2 gals Denise + Annette (real sisters!) came up with to show off our fave photos for all to see so I thought I'd share it with you. Oh, did I mention that any session package over $300 US Dollars will include a pendant with two of your favorite photos of your session? Well, its true ;) The only bad news ...choosing the photos!
